Preston Mediation and Arbitration Inc. started mediating cases upon the inception of mandatory mediation in Ontario in 1999.

Preston’s mission is to provide cost – effective, expeditious and successful mediations. “ Successful “ means lots of settlements. Clients and their counsel are made to feel involved and that they have been heard – that they had their “ day in court “ to the best extent possible.

Preston’s primary mediator and arbitrator, Brian H. Somer, practiced law mainly in the area of commercial litigation and also has extensive alternative dispute resolution and adjudication experience. (Biography link)

Mediation dates are flexible. In those regions with mandatory mediation, Preston is conscious of the requirement for mediation as a precursor to a judicial pretrial and trial and thus often the need for a mediation on short notice.
